Our Spring Choir Concert: Born This Way!

Join us for an unforgettable evening of music, celebration, and pride as the Spectrum Singers proudly present Born This Way — a powerful choir concert honoring the resilience, beauty, and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community. We’re incredibly excited to be singing our spring concert during Pride Month!
Through soul-stirring harmonies, bold anthems, and heartfelt stories, we’ll raise our voices in solidarity and joy. From classics that have long been part of Pride history to new works that challenge and uplift, this performance is a tribute to living authentically, loving unapologetically, and embracing every color of the spectrum.
Under the direction of Logan Shevalier, we’ll be singing pop anthems like True Colors and Born This Way (of course!), as well as choral versions of Pink Pony Club and She’s a Rainbow. We’re also excited to be performing Banned Together, a song by Pax Ressler, that was commissioned for the Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus. It includes lyrics that we firmly stand for at Spectrum Singers: “Trans rights are human rights!”
We’re also honored to be performing four pieces from the oratorio Considering Matthew Shepard, by Craig Hella Johnson. We worked on some of these songs for our spring 2020 concert, which was of course canceled, and we are privileged to have a chance to perform these songs once more.
Our choir concert will be held on June 7th at 7 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 5720 S Perry St, Spokane, WA.
Ticket price is $15 for ages 13 & up and $10 for ages 3-12. Get your tickets at GiveButter!
Come as you are — and come ready to celebrate who you are.
